JUMBO-A AEROBIC MICROORGANISMS IN WASTEWATER TREATMENT

Jumbo-A probiotic is one of the most widely used probiotics for water treatment in microbial cultivation and supporting the operation of wastewater treatment systems. To understand the composition, properties, and usage of aerobic Jumbo-A probiotics in wastewater treatment, let's explore this further in the following article.

1. What is Jumbo-A aerobic probiotic?

Jumbo-A is a powdered aerobic probiotic used in biological wastewater treatment systems such as Aerotank, FBR, SBR tanks, etc.

By adding probiotics, the efficiency of treating organic matter and pollutants in wastewater is stabilized by creating a new layer of activated sludge or replenishing the old activated sludge layer in the wastewater treatment tanks.

Some of the bacterial strains present in Jumbo-A aerobic yeast include: Bacillus subtilis, Saccharomyces, Nitrosomonas spp, Nitrobater spp, catalytic enzymes, fungi, lipase, etc. The microbial density in Jumbo-A yeast ranges from > 1010 Cfu/g.

2. How to use Jumbo-A aerobic probiotics in wastewater treatment

FME specializes in providing affordable probiotics in large quantities, with many incentives and a team of technicians with many years of experience in designing and operating wastewater treatment systems.

When a wastewater treatment system operates unreliably, the quality of treated wastewater does not meet current environmental standards, and the microbial system is functioning poorly, the following signs may appear:

  • Activated sludge in biological treatment tanks is difficult to settle;

  • The wastewater color is substandard, and it has a foul odor...

At this point, the microorganisms in the wastewater may be lacking nutrients or have died. We need to add Jumbo-A biological product to the wastewater treatment process at the following dosage:

Dissolve 1 kg of water treatment probiotics in 5 liters of clean water, then add directly to the treatment tank or biological pond. Depending on the usage requirements and the characteristics of the wastewater, the amount of probiotics added will vary as follows:

  • For new inoculation: 1 kg of jumbo-a aerobic yeast for 2-3 m3 of wastewater;

  • For renovation or addition projects: 1 kg of Jumbo-A for 10-15 m3 of wastewater.

After adding aerobic enzymes, it is necessary to continue monitoring the color of the wastewater to check the effectiveness of the addition and take timely corrective measures if any problems occur.

  • When the water is yellow or brown, it means the microorganisms have developed well;

  • When wastewater turns black, it's likely the microorganisms have died and need to be replenished with probiotics or re-cultured.

In addition, to ensure the effective addition of Jumbo-A aerobic probiotics to treatment tanks, the following points should be considered:

  • Adding nutrients to wastewater: activated sludge or molasses can be added to treatment tanks to create a favorable environment for microbial strains to grow.

  • Providing oxygen for the decomposition process: it is necessary to ensure an adequate supply of oxygen (at least 2 mg/l) so that microorganisms can grow.

For anaerobic treatment tanks, during wastewater treatment and microbial cultivation, nutrient supplementation may involve the use of anaerobic probiotics.
